Special, open-access edition of the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease

JPDA special, open-access edition of the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease is commemorating the 200th anniversary of James Parkinson’s Essay on the Shaking Palsy.

It contains eight articles that describe major advances in Parkinson’s research (from L-dopa to genetics), including fascinating personal accounts of how the discoveries were made, as well as updates on where research stands today. Notably, four of the authors are recipients of the Jay Van Andel Award for Outstanding Achievement in Parkinson’s Disease Research, which is presented each year during Grand Challenges in Parkinson’s Disease.
